Hello Mrs. Helen Sclair, November 7, 2009

I had the opportunity to meet you on Memorial Day, 2008 at Bohemian National Cemetery where my parents are buried. My husband and I were looking at some metal, zinc grave markers when you drove up and started talking to us about the historical markers.

I am an artist and quite interested in the statuary at Bohemian National cemetery. It was nice speaking to you that day; you seemed so knowledgeable about the cemetery. My husband and I have been
photographing the beautiful statuary there and I would like to do some pencil drawings from the photographs we take. I am wondering if you would happen to know the monument companies and/or sculptors during the turn of the twentieth century that would have created these monuments and statuary?

I spoke to the lady at the cemetery office and she talked of the Heller Bros. Monument Company. I asked about you and she said that you were encountering some health problems. I am sorry to hear that. I do hope that you will be feeling better soon.

I would greatly appreciate your response.

Thank you,
Sincerely,
Mary Ann Skutta
